Should The World Be Concerned About A Deadly Virus Outbreak?

Should The World Be Concerned About A Deadly Virus Outbreak?

In the year of February 1996, scientists revealed that countless numbers of deadly viruses are lurking in the world, that they have no cures for. These scientists warned that, “At sometime, somewhere, there will be an outbreak that will destroy the entire world.” They informed that “One drop of infected blood, can wipe out a whole city.”

These scientists further stated, that the United States has come face to face with the full- blown viral crises that there are no cures for.

Deadly Viruses

Kikwit, Zaire ___ May, 1995: 600,000 people were placed under quarantine due to fear of an outbreak of the Ebola Virus. The virus was said to have killed more than 100 people. There is no cure for this virus.

The Ebola virus has continued to spread to other areas of the world and destroy thousands of lives.

Symptoms of the Ebola Virus According to This Report

Sudden shock

Hemorrhaging from every orifice of the body

Fevers

Vomiting

Australia___April , 1995: A new virus called Morbillivirus that is related to measles in humans and distemper in cattle, dogs, seals, and porpoises, killed 14 horses and their trainer. According to scientists, this virus is an example of a newly “emerging infection that has joined the Hantavirus, Tuberculosis, and others as potential new threats to world health.

Why Do Evil Things Happen to Good People?

Why Do Evil Things Happen to Good People?

Good People are Never Forgotten

Good people such as Dr. Martin Luther King, President John F. Kennedy and many others, lives on Earth were cut short by evil. Diseases and sicknesses are evil attacks upon the bodies of those whose lives they take. Great storms and other disasters take many lives and cause body injuries as well as accidents.  We mourn their leaving, and ask, Why do evil things happen to good people?

Good is the arch enemy to evil. That is why the spirit of evil constantly seeks ways to destroy good, because it has never won. Those who are no longer with us in physical form, spirits are present with us. Their memories will never be forgotten.

There is always a plan and purpose God has for those who were born and taken away ‘too soon.’  Their mission was accomplished and God has rewarded them with better and greater things to enjoy; a new life, filled with everlasting happiness.

“But as it is written, eye has not seen, nor ear heard, neither have enter into the heart of man, the things which God has prepared for them that love him.”  (1 Corinthians 2:9)

Acute Hepatitis Viruses

Posted on Updated on

Acute Hepatitis Virus                                        Acute  Hepatitis A  and  Hepatitis B

Acute Hepatitis A is a viral infection of the liver. The disease causes the liver to become tender and swollen with bilirubin. This is a substance produced when the liver breaks down and the aged blood cells accumulate in the blood stream. The virus will be present in blood and bowel movements two to three weeks before the symptoms appear. And will also, remain for two to three weeks after the symptoms appear.
During this period, the virus can infect anyone who comes in contact with body fluids of an infected person, such as blood and feces.
Symptoms:
Jaundice (yellowish color of skin pigmentation and the whites of the eyes) weakness, loss of appetite, nausea, brownish or tea-colored urine, abdominal discomfort with pain, and whitish bowel movements. The symptoms and nature of the illness depends on the condition of the individual’s health. The symptoms gradually disappear normally after four to six weeks.

Treatment:
Consult a physician who will have blood test done, to monitor the virus and will give instructions on protecting members in the household. An injection of the Hepatitis A vaccine can be used to prevent contracting the virus.

Preventing the Spread of Hepatitis A
Do not touch the items of an infected person, Use gloves when cleaning and or handling all items worn by an infected person, flush toilets immediately, keep all dishes and silverware, glasses and such that are used by the infected person sterilized. Good hand washing with an antibacterial agent and using a germ killing agent for household cleaning are recommended. The infected individual ,should avoid sexual contact with others to prevent the spread of the virus.
Clean the Laundry and Dishes of an Infected Person Separate
The person that is infected with the hepatitis virus, should eat nutritious meals, avoid dehydration, get plenty of rest and avoid the consumption of alcohol that could harm the liver, by weakening it.
The individual with Hepatitis A, will have it in their immune system to protect them from contracting the virus again.

Hepatitis B
Symptoms are jaundice, weakness, loss of appetite, nausea, brownish colored urine, abdominal pain, whitish bowel movement

The Cause of Hepatitis B
The cause of Hepatitis B is due to a virus that infects the liver. The blood of an infected person is highly contagious dried or fresh, four to six weeks before the symptoms are revealed.

Risk Factor:
The risk for developing some form of chronic liver disease is possible in some individuals. The sources for contacting Hepatitis B infection are needle punctures from acupuncture, tattooing and injections of drugs; blood transfusions; and sexual contact. The Hepatitis B virus can spread through contact with saliva, nasals mucus, sperm, and menstrual blood.

Treatment:
Bed rest, proper nourishment, restrict alcohol intake, drink adequate amounts of water to avoid dehydration, blood tests are needed to monitor the disease. Good hand washing and using gloves to clean the household thoroughly with a germ cleaning agent, and taking special care to sterilize dishes and such things that are used in daily family meals are necessary. Keeping the bathroom clean is a priority. The infected individual should avoid sexual contact with others to prevent the spread of the virus. Clean the Laundry and Dishes of an Infected Person Separate
Professional help is recommended to prevent the spread of the disease from those who come in close contact with an infected person living in the same household. A physician can inject members of the household with the Hepatitis B vaccine.

* Acute means a sudden onset

Health and Fitness involves Body Mind and Spirit

Health and Fitness involves Body Mind and Spirit

Health and fitness is not just for getting a beautiful body.  It is for getting a person in physical and mental condition.
For many people, who are beginners in a weight management program; exercising and eating foods that are healthier than the things they normally ate prior to the program are now, a big challenge for them.

There are other adjustments that are needed to be made in order to have a healthy body. The student needs to know that health and fitness involves the whole person (body, mind and spirit) Therefore, personality traits should be involved, poor eating habits, lack of enough rest, smoking, and things that are not healthy for the body, would be addressed in a good health and fitness program.

For many people, having to change their way of doing things is too much of a challenge for them. They hate the workouts because it causes them to move muscles and joints in ways they are not comfortable with. They hate the pain and soreness. And there are those who refuse to follow instructions. Some will give up, and quit the program, and some will continue to the end.

Those who endure the discomfort until they reach their goal, have a healthier body that is in good physical and mental condition. They feel great about themselves. To maintain health and fitness or to be successful in reaching goals, the right attitude is to never quit. Confidence is to keep the vision alive, by seeing a victory ahead that is worth fighting for. How to Prevent Back Injuries When Lifting

How to Avoid Back Injuries When Lifting

As a medical professional, I came up with some tips to avoid injuring my back while lifting patients. Because my rules worked for me in my medical professional career, and in my daily tasks that help me to prevent back injuries, I have shared them with others.

Daily Rules

1. When bending, never bend from the waist; use the hips and knees.

2. When lifting, face the object; and bend your knees.

3. Never lift heavy objects any higher than the level of your waist.

4. Hold the object at waist level, as close to you as possible.

5. Keep your head in line with your spine while standing, lying, or sitting.

6. Avoid sitting on deep couches and soft chairs.

                                      How to Keep Healthy Skin

Not all skin products will work the same on all skin textures.  Finding a good skin product that will not harm the skin is the wisest choice to make.To keep healthy skin, it must be cared for properly. How we treat our skin will determine its health.

For many years I spent several hours gardening daily during the summer months. In the year of 2010, I noticed my skin started showing dryness and darkening. I began spending less time in my garden.  I wanted the healthy skin I once had. I came to the conclusion that I had to stay out of the sun for this to happen. In the year of 2011, I stopped gardening.

When the weather is hot, I stay inside. My skin texture, tone and hue, shows the success of a healthy diet, getting the proper rest, lowering my stress level, and staying out of the sun during the summer months.
