These are the things I taught my children from my life experiences
There are two roads in life, the road of success and the road of destruction. Each road is for us to decide which is best for us. The destination on the road of success is happiness. It is a long road and is not smooth; In some places it is rocky, and lots of bumps are along the way. There will be some bumps you will land in that you could not avoid. The jolt you will feel from each of them will be unpleasant, and each jolt becomes a stronger challenge to keep your balance; If you keep your eyes focused ahead, you will be able to stay on the road. The storms you will encounter will challenge you: these are your enemies, but with prayer, you can make it safely through the storms. When you reach your destination, you will find a road that is safe to travel, one that is smooth and filled with the good things in life.
The road of destruction is risky, and some people will choose it as a short cut, to get to the road of success. There are more people who choose this road, than those who choose the road of success. The reason is there are lots of things to attract the travelers and divert them from reaching the road of success.
It is filled with things that are exciting and bring pleasure to the desires of the physical body. It has a way of keeping the people who choose it entertained by the things that appears to satisfy the pleasures of the body, while it robs the mind of the most important things in life: freedom, Love and peace that results in contentment. The people who travel this road made the choice to gamble with their life. For them happiness remains at a very far distance.
Those who choose to travel the road of destruction never find the way to the road of success, because the road of success leads to the destination of completeness; Life, freedom, Love, and happiness that is a peaceful life. This is the spirit of contentment.
On the road of destruction, the storms are greater, the road become too foggy to see ahead, it is too difficult to focus, and is impossible to move forward. Your life is at risk, if you stop.
You become fearful! The bumps have become too dangerous, and are too difficult to avoid; each of them is a warning that the next one you land in could be the end of your life. You are blinded by the fog that has caused your mind to become numb to thinking rational, the fog is showing you evil images, and you feel the unsafety of this road.
We have the ability to make a rational decision for our life, to choose which road we want to take. Each day we have a choice to write the blueprint for either the road of success or the road of destruction for our life. Which road is the best option to choose?
I chose the road of success.

We live in a modern-day time of advanced technology. In this generation of people we have divisiveness. Crime and wars, along with diseases and sicknesses exist. Homeless, starvation and the lack of an adequate income, and no financial aide still exist in many places.
The storms of life and physical storms, along with disasters plaque our world; leaving many people searching for answers: Why, do God allow these things to happen? and Where is Jesus?
History has taught us that these things have never left Earth. The purpose for which Jesus came to Earth was to give us hope and offer us a better life of peace with God. He gave us the understanding that the poor would always exist upon Earth. His work consisted of educating people about the power of God, healing those with diseases and sicknesses, feeding the hungry, spreading Joy and Peace and so many others things that made him God within the body of a man.
Today, Jesus lives in the Hearts and Souls of those who continues his work.
Where is Jesus Today?
Jesus is in shelters providing a place to live for those who are homeless.
Jesus is working in places to provide food for the hungry.
Jesus is in medical facilities providing health care for those who are sick.
Jesus is in the firemen battling the fires to save lives.
Jesus is in the police officers who have dedicated their lives to protect others.
Jesus in in the teachers who provide educational skills and teach self-confidence and respect to their students.
Jesus is in the streets, listening to those who tells him about their pain and suffering and all their troubles: He let them know that they are not alone. He offers to them his Love and Peace.
Jesus lives in the Soul of the Spiritual Leader that follows in his footsteps to serve all people. It is a calling, and not a choice.

The Results of Poor Leadership
The results of poor leadership is a broken and corrupt society that exist worldwide by the violence we see that is played out on the streets and in public places. Corrupt leaders attract people like themselves that breed violence.
Poor leadership has been revealed in the homes and in shelters where children are exposed to violence. Many of these children who came from broken homes have not found a safe haven; but instead, have been sexually abused, and targeted for further violence against them.
Government has failed many, because some elected officials who have been chosen to work for all of the people to provide the needed resources in poor neighborhoods, have not carried out their promises. And those who created the laws of the land have not fought for the poor to be treated equally fair. Many elected officials have broken the laws they created. The Justice System has become weaken because of poor leadership and corruption by certain individuals who were chosen to uphold the laws, who themselves broke them.
Failure to lead with honesty and respect for others, creates and atmosphere of mistrust.
Among those who view the world through the eyes of politics and religion, we find bias and prejudice treatment used against certain individuals. Because of such people beliefs, they psychologically place others in classifications based on financial status, locations, looks and popularity. They set in judgmental positions and outcast certain individuals, who they perceive are different from them, and have no place in society for equal justice.
From such people come leaders in our communities, among them are judges and the jury and those who are religious leaders, school and college leaders, law enforcement officials and others. The laws of the land are as strong as the character of those who are in a position to uphold them.
If justice fails in the courtrooms, it will not prevail in society.
When people feel they have been treated as an outcast, because of unfairness, they feel they were cheated out of their God-given rights that all men and women were created equal. They feel that the same laws should apply to all people. They feel that Liberty and Justice should apply to every boy, and to every girl, and to every man, and to every women, regardless of financial status, location, looks or popularity.
If a person feel he or she is worthless by the laws of the land, they will eventually lose hope.
When hope is gone, the reason to care is replaced with the demon of hate, leaving such individuals with a feeling of no remorse, and the desire to destroy. In the path of hate is death and destruction. The fury of such an evil spirit will cause innocent people to suffer as a result of violent behavior.
The leader who prays to God for strength to treat those who follow with fairness will make a difference. Through prayers wisdom is obtained and knowledge is gained, and applied with understanding to know that change comes, when every person is adequately benefited.
A person does not have to be religious to pray: Knowing that someone is listening who has the power to guide you out of darkness into light, is all that is required. I found Contentment when I prayed.
I would rather be on the team of the leader who prays to God for wisdom to guide the followers, than to be on the team of the leader, who leads without prayer.
I thank God for his Love for me, and for each choice I made.
I chose Love over hate.
I chose forgiveness over grudges.
I chose peace over war.
I chose thankfulness over complaints.
I give thanks to God for the contentment I found within me.
I now live my life with the satisfaction of my choices.
When I chose contentment
I chose happiness
